Gabilan Range
 
 
Gabilan Range, one of the Coast Ranges, Monterey and San Benito cos., W Calif.; extends 50 mi/80 km SE from Pajaro R. at S end of Santa Cruz Mts. to near Lewis Creek and juncture with Diablo Range NE of King City. Rises to 3,455 ft/1,053 m at Mt. Johnson in center, Gabilan Peak (3,169 ft/966 m) is included in Frémont Peak State Park (244 acres/99 ha) NE of Salinas. Salinas Valley to SW, upper San Benito R. Valley to NE, Santa Clara Valley to N; Pinnacles Natl. Monument in S center.
