Grand Lake, village (1990 pop. 259), Grand co., N Colo., on Colorado R., in Front Range, and 33 mi/53 km WNW of Boulder; elev. 8,369 ft/2,551 m. Fishing and boating resort on Grand L., in Colorado–Big Thompson project. Largest glacial lake in Colo. Shadow Mtn. Reservoir and Granby Reservoir to S, downstream from Grand L. Town is at W entrance to Rocky Mt. Natl. Park. Cascade Falls Trail starts here. Rocky Mt. Natl. Park to N, E, and SE; Arapaho Natl. Forest to W; Arapaho Natl. Recreation Area to S.
