Glooscap Trail
 
 
Glooscap Trail, scenic highway (200 mi/322 km long), N N.S., Canada. Starts at Windsor, runs ENE along S shore of Minas Basin to Truro, detouring the lower reaches of Shubenacadie R. From Truro it continues W along N shore of Minas Basin to Parrsboro, then N across base of Chignecto Peninsula through Springhill, ending at Amherst. 30 mi/48 km branch goes W from Parrsboro to Advocate Harbour, near Cape d’Or. High tides, waterfalls, mining mus., headlands, mud flats. Named for Micmac man-god Glooscap.
