Grandville, city (1990 pop. 15,624), Kent co., W Mich., suburb 6 mi/9.7 km SW of Grand Rapids, on the Grand R.; 42°53'N 85°45'W. In a farm area; mfg. (transportation equip., dies and molds, bldg. materials, paper, metal, and electrical prods., lumber, silver recovery equip.). Native Amer. mounds, some of which were opened in 1964, are preserved in the NE sect. of the city. Settled 1833, inc. as a city 1933.
