Agr. market (esp. livestock; grain, corn, dairy); also RR, and mfg. and shipping center. Mfg. (plastic prods., meat packing, agr. machinery, irrigation systems, transportation equip., bldg. materials, hides, trusses, food prods., printing and publishing). The Stuhr Mus. of the Prairie Pioneer, on an isl. in a nearby artificial lake, was designed by Edward Durrell Stone. Veterans Home.
