Point (E); c.1 mi/1.6 km wide at entrance, 2 mi/3.2 km long; 40°47'N 73°52'W. On W shore is N.Y. city municipal airport (La Guardia Field); on S shore is Flushing Meadow Park, scene of 19391940 and 19641965 Worlds Fairs, and later the temporary home of the UN.
