Eufaula (yoo-FAW-luh), city (1990 pop. 13,220), Barbour co., SE Ala., on Chattahoochee R. (here forming Ga. line), and c.50 mi/80 km NNE of Dothan. Trade and shipping center, with boat connections, for cotton, peanut, pecan, and livestock area. Mfg. includes textiles, lumber prods., food processing, oil extraction, fertilizer, consumer goods. Sparks State Technical Col. Settled in 1830s. Has many fine plantation homes.
