Bartlett (BAHRT-let), town (1990 pop. 2,290), Carroll co., E central N.H., on the Saco R., 26 mi/42 km S of Berlin; 44°04'N 71°14'W. Drained by Saco and Ellis rivers. Nursery crops; cattle; dairying; timber. Mfg. (wood prods., machining). Tourism. Town has 2 covered bridges. Story Land and Heritage N.H. theme parks on NE; in White Mts., parts of White Mt. Natl. Forest in N, S, and NE; Sawyer Rock State Picnic Area in W; Attitash-Bear Peak Ski Area and amusement park in S; Mt. Parker (3,015 ft/919 m) in N; Bear Mt. (3,320 ft/1,012 m) on S boundary. Settled after 1769, inc. 1790.
