Griggs, county (709 sq mi/1,836 sq km; 1990 pop. 3,303), E central N.Dak.; Cooperstown; 47°27'N 98°13'W. Wheat-growing area drained by Sheyenne R. and Bald Hill Creek. Cattle, dairy prods., wheat, rye. N part of L. Ashtabula Reservoir in SE corner. Red Willow L. and other small lakes in NW. Formed 1881.
