shoptalk (n., v.), talk shop (v.)
 
 
The idiom to talk shop, meaning “to talk about business or professional or vocational matters,” also provides an Informal or Conversational verb, to shoptalk. Both are based on the sense of the noun shop meaning “the workplace,” and shoptalk usually bores anyone not part of the shop.  1
