| town (1991 pop. 9,378), S Ont., Canada, on the Thames River, E of London. It has a large dairy-processing industry. Named for Thomas Ingersoll, father of the Canadian heroine Laura Secord, it was the birthplace of Aimée Semple McPherson. |
