(gz´bôrn) (KEY) , city (1996 pop. 32,608), East Coast North Island, New Zealand, on Poverty Bay. It is a resort and a port, exporting wool, frozen meat, timber, and fish. Captain Cook made his first New Zealand landing there in 1769.
