(älä´sh h r´´) (KEY) , town (1990 pop. 36,649), W Turkey, at the foot of the Tmolus Mts. (Boz Da ). It is the trade center for a region where tobacco, fruit, and mineral water are produced. The town is picturesque, with narrow winding streets and a Byzantine wall. Nearby is the site of ancient Philadelphia. |
