(hwäk n´ äk ´stä) (KEY) , 18001852, Colombian historian and scientist. He served under Simón Bolívar in the revolution against Spanish rule and held various political positions in Colombia. He wrote about many aspects of Colombia, constituting himself a sort of intellectual public-relations agent for his country. |
