ADJECTIVE:1. In sharp opposition: discrepant, incompatible, incongruent, inconsistent. Logic : repugnant. See AGREE. 2. Not suited to circumstances: improper, inappropriate, inapt, inept, malapropos, unapt, unbecoming, unbefitting, unfit, unseemly, unsuitable. Idioms: out of place. See AGREE, USUAL. 3. Made up of parts or qualities that are disparate or otherwise markedly lacking in consistency: discordant, discrepant, dissonant, incompatible, incongruent, inconsistent. See AGREE.
