NOUN:1. That which unites or binds: bond, knot, ligament, ligature, link, nexus, tie, vinculum. See CONNECT. 2. Two items of the same kind together: brace, couple, couplet, doublet, duet, duo, match, pair, two, twosome. See GROUP, SAME. 3. A state of subjugation to an owner or master: bondage, enslavement, helotry, serfdom, servileness, servility, servitude, slavery, thrall, thralldom, villeinage. See OVER.
VERB:To bring or come together into a united whole: coalesce, combine, compound, concrete, conjoin, conjugate, connect, consolidate, couple, join, link, marry, meld, unify, unite, wed. See ASSEMBLE.
