VERB:1. To have an impact on in a certain way: dispose, influence, predispose, sway. See AFFECT, LIKE. 2. To depart or cause to depart from true vertical or horizontal: cant1, heel2, lean1, list2, rake2, slant, slope, tilt, tip2. See STRAIGHT. 3. To have a tendency or inclination: lean1, slant, squint, tend1, trend. See LIKELY.
