NOUN:1. An act or state of agreeing between parties regarding a course of action: accord, agreement, arrangement, compact2, deal, pact, understanding. See AGREE. 2. An agreement, especially one involving a sale or exchange: compact2, contract, covenant, deal, transaction. See AGREE. 3. Something offered or bought at a low price: Informal : buy, deal. Slang : steal. See MONEY, TRANSACTIONS.
VERB:1. To enter into a formal agreement: contract, covenant. See AGREE. 2. To argue about the terms, as of a sale: dicker, haggle, higgle, huckster, negotiate, palter. See AGREE.
PHRASAL VERB:bargain for To look forward to confidently: anticipate, await, count on, depend on or (upon), expect, look for, wait (for). Informal : figure on. See SURPRISE.
