ADJECTIVE:1. Lacking in moral restraint: abandoned, dissipated, dissolute, fast, gay, incontinent, licentious, profligate, rakish, unbridled, unconstrained, uncontrolled, ungoverned, uninhibited, unrestrained, wanton. See RESTRAINT. 2. Marked by extreme excitement, confusion, or agitation: delirious, frantic, frenetic, frenzied, mad. Archaic : madding. See CALM. 3. Violently disturbed or agitated, as by storms: dirty, heavy, raging, roiled, roily, rough, rugged, stormy, tempestuous, tumultuous, turbulent, ugly, violent. See CALM. 4. Of or relating to wild animals: feral, savage. See WILD. 5. Not civilized: barbarian, barbaric, barbarous, primitive, rude, savage, uncivilized, uncultivated, uncultured. Archaic : uncivil. See CULTURE, WILD. 6. Not submitting to discipline or control: disorderly, fractious, indocile, intractable, lawless, obstinate, obstreperous, recalcitrant, refractory, uncontrollable, undisciplined, ungovernable, unmanageable, unruly, untoward.
