ADJECTIVE:1. Full of polite concern for the well-being of others: attentive, considerate, courteous, polite, solicitous, thoughtful. See CAREFUL, TREAT WELL. 2. Having or showing courage: audacious, bold, brave, courageous, dauntless, doughty, fearless, fortitudinous, game, hardy, heroic, intrepid, mettlesome, plucky, stout, stouthearted, unafraid, undaunted, valiant, valorous. Informal : spunky. Slang : gutsy, gutty. See FEAR. 3. Respectfully attentive, especially to women: chivalric, chivalrous. See ATTITUDE, COURTESY. 4.
