NOUN:1. The act or process of accepting: acceptance, acquiescence, agreement, assent, consent, yes. Informal : OK. See ACCEPT. 2. An inclination of the head or body, as in greeting, consent, courtesy, submission, or worship: bow1, curtsy, genuflection, kowtow, obeisance. See COURTESY.
VERB:1. To respond affirmatively; receive with agreement or compliance: accede, accept, acquiesce, agree, assent, consent, subscribe, yes. See AGREE. 2. To sleep for a brief period. Also used with off: catnap, doze (off), nap, siesta, snooze. Idioms: catch (or grab) (or take) forty winks. See AWARENESS.
