To make or become greater or larger: aggrandize, amplify, augment, boost, build, build up, burgeon, enlarge, escalate, expand, grow, increase, magnify, mount, multiply, proliferate, rise, run up, snowball, soar, swell, upsurge, wax. Informal : beef up. See INCREASE. 5. To make or become longer: draw out, elongate, lengthen, prolong, prolongate, protract, spin (out), stretch (out). Mathematics : produce. See INCREASE, LONG. 6. To make (something) readily available: afford, offer, provide. Idioms: place (or put) at one's disposal. See OFFER. 7. To put before another for acceptance: offer, present2, proffer, tender2, volunteer. Idioms: come forward with, lay at someone's feet, lay before. See OFFER. 8. To arrange for the extension of: renew.
