NOUN:1. The measure of how far or long something goes in space, time, or degree: extent, length, reach, stretch. See BIG. 2. The period during which someone or something exists: day (often used in plural), duration, existence, life, lifetime, term. See LIVE, TIME. 3. A specific length of time characterized by the occurrence of certain conditions or events: period, season, stretch, term. See TIME. 4. A limited or specific period of time during which something happens, lasts, or extends: duration, stretch, term, time. See TIME.
