ADJECTIVE:1. Impaired because of decay: bad, putrid. See BETTER, TASTE, THRIVE. 2. Utterly reprehensible in nature or behavior: corrupt, degenerate, depraved, flagitious, miscreant, perverse, unhealthy, villainous. See CLEAN, GOOD. 3. So objectionable as to elicit despisal or deserve condemnation: abhorrent, abominable, antipathetic, contemptible, despicable, despisable, detestable, disgusting, filthy, foul, infamous, loathsome, lousy, low, mean2, nasty, nefarious, obnoxious, odious, repugnant, shabby, vile, wretched. See GOOD. 4. Smelling of mildew or decay: frowzy, fusty, moldy, musty, putrid, rancid, rank2. See SMELLS. 5. Of decidedly inferior quality: base2, cheap, lousy, miserable, paltry, poor, shoddy, sleazy, trashy. Informal : cheesy. Slang : crummy, schlocky. See GOOD.
