ADJECTIVE:1. Affording pleasurable ease: comfortable, cozy, easeful, easy. Informal : comfy, soft. See GOOD. 2. In good order or clean condition: neat, orderly, shipshape, spick-and-span, spruce, taut, tidy, trig, trim, well-groomed. Chiefly British : tight. Idioms: neat as a pin. See CLEAN, ORDER. 3. Affording little room for movement: close, confining, cramped, crowded, narrow, tight. See TIGHTEN.
