VERB:1. To hold and turn over in the mind: bear, nourish, nurse. See THOUGHTS. 2. To give refuge to: haven, house, shelter. See PROTECTION. 3. To provide with often temporary lodging: accommodate, bed (down), berth, bestow, billet, board, bunk1, domicile, house, lodge, put up, quarter, room. See PROTECTION.
