VERB:1. To find fault with: censure, criticize, fault, rap1. Informal : cut up, pan. Slang : knock. See PRAISE. 2. To ascribe (a misdeed or an error, for example) to: affix, assign, fasten, fix, impute, pin on, place. See GIVE.
