Bombay duck
 
NOUN:1. A small edible lizardfish (Harpodon nehereus) of Asia, having a thin, nearly transparent body. 2. The dried salted flesh of this fish that is used in India as a relish, usually with curry. Also called bummalo.
ETYMOLOGY:Alteration of Marathi bombla, bombil.
