2 interpreting the finding and conclusion will be documented and summarized. Then it will be determined how this article’s findings and conclusions would directly impact my chosen career field of technology and the impact on my future career. Research Problem and Question Throughout the journal article “How Do Consumers Reconcile Positive and Negative CSR-Related Information to Form an Ethical Brand Perception? A Mixed Method Inquiry" by Brunk and de Boer (2020). There were many different questions within, but the main research problem of this article is “This research investigates how consumers' ethical brand perceptions are affected by differentiall y balanced information” (Brunk & de Boer, 2020). The article also asks how during brand misconduct consumers view the brand versus when they have a positive corporate social involvement. Article Summary This article was extremely hard to follow but what I understood from it was that a group of individuals conducted multiple studies to determine how consumers viewed brands and companies based on ethical and unethical practices that each brand and organizations presented. The article started off by using Volkswagen as an example and pointing out how the automobile giant lied about the amount of pollution their cars were putting into the air however, they also did charity work in Africa, so yes, they had a negative against them but they also had a positive but was it enough to keep consumers with a positive outlook and bypass what negative they did. According to Brunk and de Boer (2020) the first study presented participants with a qualitative interview approach this approach would help the study conductors understand how interviewees
